Well, it has been 10 years since I have passed grade 12. And here I am writing this to share with all how a small change through school has had a massive impact on my life.

We, as individuals have goals, targets that we want to achieve, be it being the school prefect or a captain in your specific sport. The important question is, how do we get there? It is simple, with the Power of our Habits.

In-School, we have a set routine, specific time for certain activities. These activities help us to get better each day, as we are performing them every day for almost 200 days a year. If we focus on improving by 1% every day, imagine the kind of improvement we will have year on year.

For eg: You play cricket every day, you keep on practicing in the nets. Why do you do that? So that you peak your performance level during the match, correct? This is what has really helped me. The power of creating that habit and sticking to it. While you are focusing on the habits, results will follow. School discipline does have a massive impact on our day-to-day lives. We know our strengths & weaknesses, and we can focus on that.

Atomic Habits book by James clear completely changed my perspective towards life. Then I realized it is the same thing we were taught in our boarding school, that holds relevance till today. We do what we do every day with consistency but also consciously which is important. The more conscious we are while being consistent will take us a long way.

While we are always focusing on the bigger picture (our goals). If we focus on our habits and the path to our goals we will get to the goals much much sooner.
